What are the types of scaffolding used in construction?
Scaffolding is a temporary rigid structure made of steel, bamboo or timber which is used to create a platform on which mason can work at different heights. Scaffolds also help to lift materials for the immediate uses at different heights.
Generally there are seven types of scaffolding in use which are:
- Single scaffolding or Brick layer’s Scaffolding
- Double scaffolding or Mason’s Scaffolding
- Steel scaffolding or Tubular Scaffolding
- Cantilever scaffolding or Needle Scaffolding
- Suspended scaffolding
- Trestle scaffolding
- Patented scaffolding
